(More customer reviews)We love the SwaddleMe -- couldn't live without it -- so we were excited to see the "green" bamboo fabric option. The fabric itself is lovely, soft, and attractive. But it has a big flaw: it's too stretchy. If you have an infant like ours that needs to be swaddled snugly, you'll find yourself frustrated with this product. I'd manage to get her wrapped up tight, only to have her crying five minutes later with an arm halfway out. I recommend the cotton flannel instead.

(More customer reviews)I gave birth to my first kid 8 weeks ago.We got several blankets from friends and family, including one "miracle blanket".We initially tried swaddling our child in regular blankets, which worked well, but he often escaped the blanket,and would wake up crying with his arms flailing around.

We then turned to the "miracle blanket" which worked well (better), but was cumbersome to put on (it has to be wrapped a number of times around the child, often waking them up or irritating them in the process). Plus it retails for like $30.

I then bought one of these swaddling blankets, and was amazed at how easy it was to put on, and how effective it was.The kid sleeps in it every night.

Honestly, this is the only blanket we really needed, at least for the first few months.It's a great example of how the most expensive baby item is not the best one.I give one of these to all my pregnant friends!

(More customer reviews)Most swaddling blankets that you get from other stores are all too small once the baby gets bigger than 8 lbs.This one is so useful from newborn on (still useful at 3 months) and it really helped our baby boy to stay on his back and stay asleep.Great product!

(More customer reviews)Our daughter loved being swaddled and we DID have blankets that did the trick, but we liked the idea of it being a little easier and more secure thanks to the velcro.I lookd all over the we and read a lot of reviews.I had first chose the Miracle Blanket but returned it as soon as it arrived and I bought the Swaddle Me - much better!!The fleece is super soft and warm - I am ordering the cotton one for daytime swaddling.One point - the sizes - they never mention the weights it covers. The small is NB-14 pounds and the Large is 15 and up. My daughter is 13.12 and she does fine with the Large- and she will grow into it. I found no issues with the velcro being scratchy - nothing like that.

It is easily adjusted, fits great, stays on very well, and is the magic trick for getting my daughter to sleep. I can see her visibly relax after it's on, and she sinks into a blissful sleep. We jokingly call it the Baby Coma Straitjacket. ;-) I wish we'd had this with my colicky first daughter! The best part is the slot for the carseat, so you can use it as a carseat or stroller blanket and it stays put and she can't kick it over her face. It also washes well. We bought the ivory color. Great swaddler, great price. Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)When my wife returned home from her shower in a u-haul I was a bit overwhelmed. I love my child but not all the gear that he came with. I find myself asking my questions like, "Why do we need two strollers if we never leave the house."
I don't mean to sound ungrateful but it was a bit much. Anyway, at the back of the truck was this small nondescript blanket. We tried it for the first time when our son was a few weeks old and he has not slept in anything else. He is coming up on 6 months.
I love this blanket almost as much as my son and I am dreading the day when we grows out of it. (we use it now just to swaddle his arms since he is too tall for it)
I buy this for everyone I know that is expecting. It is amazing and on my list of 5 things parents must have. Car seat, diapers, camera and a blanket to lie on are the others, the rest of the stuff can stay in the u-haul.

(More customer reviews)We have 3 year old twins and now a new baby girl.When the twins were infants we became fans of the Moms on Call ([...]) daily routine to get a baby to 'sleep through the night' (obviously the length of sleeping time depends on the age of the baby) and swaddling is a key ingredient of this amazing program.Personally I am not good at swaddling using a square blanket (even the Moms on Call blanket - sorry, Laura) but the Miracle Blanket is a no brainer!I can wrap up my dear daughter perfectly tight in a half dark bedroom in the middle of the night even as bleary as I am at 6-week after her delivery with this great wrap.Good night baby and good night Mommy!

Miracle Blanket - Green with Beige Trim Swaddle Blanket Review

(More customer reviews)We bought the Miracle Blanket when our son was 3 months old.We had been swaddling him in Halo sleep sackand Kiddopotmus swaddlers until he started to break out of them.He is now 4 months old and we have been using the Miracle blanket for naps and at night, however we are starting to transition him out of swaddling, so he always has one arm free of the swaddler.
Positives:
1) The fabric is lightweight, so it is great to use in warmer weather
2) It is easy to swaddle only the arms, leaving the legs out of the bottom sac
3) When we swaddle our son perfectly, he stays swaddle all night without breaking out of the swaddle.

Negatives:
1) It is hard to perfectly swaddle a squirming baby ;) and if we haven't made sure each arm flap is smooth and covering his entire arm, he often breaks free of the swaddle in the middle of the night.
2) Our son kicks his legs out of the sack almost immediately, now matter how tightly we swaddle him.This isn't a huge issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning

The only other suggestion I would make is to purchase a pattern.We have the green with off white trim and it has a few stains on it from leaking diapers.I think having a pattern would hide these spots better.
Overall I would say this was a good purchase.Considering the cost, I would have bought it sooner than 3 months in order to get more use out of it but having used it for 4 weeks now, I am happy with it.
