Dream On Me Classic Sleigh Toddler Bed Review

This bed is great for the price, and the quality of the pieces.Assembly is easy, and the pieces fit better than any piece of pre fab furniture I've ever assembled. The mattress from your crib fits on the bed, so you don't have to get a new one.The height is perfect for little ones, they can get in themselves very easy. The side rails could be a little bit longer, they don't really keep the kid in bed that well, but overall it is a really good buy.

Sleigh Toddler Bed - Oak

My husband and I recently purchased this bed in oak for our 26 month old daughter. It was time for her to have a "Big Girl Bed" that wasn't quite full-sized, but still gave her the ability to get in and out on her own.

We're thrilled with the quality of the bed.My husband was able to put it together in a reasonably short period of time (about an hour from unpacking to clean-up)--and came with all the tools necessary to put it together.Aligning all the slats can be a bit of a pain because you have to put all 10 together on one side, and then attempt to put the other side on without them falling out or slipping out of place; other than that it went together fine and all the pieces fit together without any problem.

It fits a standard sized crib mattress (not included), and the bottom slats provide enough stability for the mattress so that even my eight year old has been able to throw her weight on it (although I did tell her not to do it again). So regular wear and tear from your toddler getting in and out shouldn't be an issue.

I like that it is light enough so I can easily move it around, but it is sturdy and heavy enough that it doesn't budge when she gets in and out. There is also enough room between the mattress and floor that you can easily swoop your arm around to remove lost toys that inevitably make their home under there.

I was worried about the sharp corner on the guard-rail, with good reason. My daughter has bumped her head on it a few times (I have no clue how), so we drape a large sherpa blanket over it and the mattress to add some padding--plus it gives a little extra protection for the sheet should she wet through her diaper. That seemed to do the trick.Other than that, there don't seem to be any other downsides to the bed.

And the best part is our daughter fell in love with it, and enjoys going to bed in it (well, she isn't exactly running to go to bed; but she wasn't afraid of it at all, and actually enjoys taking ownership of it).I definately recommend this as a transitional bed for your toddler who isn't ready for a full-height bed.The quality is great and the price is reasonable.

Pea Pod Indoor/Outdoor Travel Bed Review

Pea Pod Indoor/Outdoor Travel Bed

We purchased the smaller sized peapod when my son was about 5 months old.My husband and I travel a lot and we needed a travel bed that was lightweight, easy to set up, and safe for our child. This met all of our expectations.

When I purchased this item, I had seen the reviews about how difficult it could be to re-fold the peapod. So I went out to Kidco's website and found a very helpful document there on how to re-fold it.When the peapod arrived, I practiced opening and closing per Kidco's instructions and it didn't take long for me to be able to figure it out and get it down without thinking about it.After that, any trip we went on it was apiece of cake folding it right back up and putting it back into it's pouch.

One of the things I love about it is that it is lightweight and compact. I can pack it in our suitcase and still have room for everything else I need to take.

It's also durable.Again, we travel a lot with our son (about once a month on average), and it has held up over the last 2 and 1/2 years. No tears, rips, or anything (and it's not like we're gentle with it).

Also, I found a technique that minimized the noise from zipping up the tent (holding my thumb and forefinger on the zipper teeth and zipper pull (where the zipper teeth have just closed as you pull the zipper). For whatever reason, that seems to dull the sound.Eventually my son got used to the sound of zipping up/down the tent and it no longer grabbed his attention. And now that he's older, it's a non-issue as I just put him in the tent, say goodnight, and close up the tent (he prefers it zipped up).

Oh, during that first year once our son started to crawl, we often put the tent out for son to explore and play in a few days before heading off on a trip. That would help familiarize him with the tent again and make it an easier adjustment for him once we went on the trip.

My son is finally getting too big for the smaller sized peapod, so we're going to purchase the Peapod Plus and retire the old one.We loved the old one so we hope we'll love the new one, too.

The PeaPod P101 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your baby's bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent "pod," which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access. Baby can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy's UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad.
Travel Light
The last thing you need while you're traveling with a baby is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack'n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 14 x 5 x 14 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 47 x 30 x 19 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination.
The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to "snap" it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you're traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend's house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.
