(More customer reviews)The main reason that I purchased this bassinet was because of the automatic rocking. However, I didn't need to use the rocking one while my son slept in it for the first four months. My first two children loved being rocked, and I always had to do it manually. Getting a rocking bassinet seemed like a really good idea. I never needed it this time. Go figure. But the rocking did work great as I obviously tried it. There was a little noise from it, but no more than you get with a baby swing. The night light, the music and sounds, the fact that you can lock the bassinet so it doesn't rock, the detachable toys, the mesh siding so that the baby won't soffocate if his/her face gets pressed on the side, and the generously sized basket underneath all made this an outstanding bassinet. Even though I didn't use the rocking part of it, I would still choose this bassinet the other two that I had for my first two children. I loved it and I'm going to hold onto it "just in case" there's another little bundle of joy that comes along.
