(More customer reviews)I don't usually go overboard with praise, but this play mat deserves it. We purchased it for a newborn and have been amazed how well it has grown with our infant!
At birth the colors and animals were stimulating visually and the Mozart music setting plays continuously when turned on. When the batting started, just making the animals move kept our infant busy for a very long time. Then the touching and grabbing began. So many different animals to explore!There is a monkey, a giraffe, an elephant and a parrot-like bird. There is also a plastic ring with discs that is easy to rattle with fingertips. All hangers can be rotated to allow the infant to pull them off, or can be turned to make sure they stay hanging.
Each animal has a different stimulation. One animal is crinkly and one has a vibration when pulled down. Each animal has a differnt texture and all are multi-colored. They are great to touch and able to be "chewed" on when pulled down- with adult supervision of course. Each animal has been a favorite at different stages.
During tummy-time, the mat offers a crinkle elephant ear that also hides a bird for "peek-a-boo" play. The bird has a squeaker. The giraffe's tail and the zebra's mane are fabric pieces for the baby to touch and the flowers are lit and play music if pressed by baby when on the nursery rhyme setting. The mirror is actually big enough for the infant to see themselves and has a fastener sewn into the mat to keep it from moving away when touched/grabbed.
We've owned this mat for almost 6 months now and still love it. Bright colors, lots of tactile stimulation, with animals that hang and are able to be moved to different locations. You can hang your own toys also, so we change the toys around often offering a "surprise" each time it's used- which is daily.
The toy has been completely safe. The arches fasten with snaps that are very tight and very easy to assemble.
Because our baby spits up a lot, we've had to wash this mat often. The musical flowers just slide out, the arches snap out and the mirror comes off the mat via a velcro fastener before washing.
We wash the mat in the washing machine and dry on low heat and, so far, it looks great. No sign of wear whatsoever. After washing, the bird squeaker just needs the water to get squeezed out before drying.
The only tiny complaint I can find about this mat is that the music, in my opinion, is slightly too loud and sounds a little harsh for a newborn. It is still better than most other musical toys we own.
I don't give 5-star ratings often, but this activity mat deserves it on all levels. Perfect for either boys or girls. I would definitely rank it in the top 5 of my MUST-HAVE list for new parents.

(More customer reviews)This toy has 6 large suction cups on the back that hold it fairly securely to tiled surfaces.It comes with several levels - a top chair for the small mermaid (color changing in water) that comes with the set, a little shower area that you can make work with a small pumping lever, a slide, and a bottom trough that holds water.It also comes with a seashell that you can use to scoop up water to put in the shower area - the area has a small hole at the bottom and water flows through there across flower spinners and catches in the trough at the bottom.There's also a swing for the normal sized merliah doll (which doesn't come with the set).

The shell scoop is a great idea - fun to play with on its owner or to use with the set.There is a lot for the little mermaid to do but not much for a regular sized barbie.The large swing is set up so it can sit the flexible and non-flexible tailed Barbies (the 'co star' mermaid doll does not bend at all, for example).

In all, my daughter really loves it.We have to prop it up, though, since we have a free-standing bathtub with wood walls (no tiles).So keep in mind that it doesn't stand up on its own and you'll need a riled wall above the bathtub.

It has everything I was looking for: It is 150 coils, has an edge rod to prolong the life of the edges and mattress, For water-resistance it has ticking reinforced with nylon, therefore no need to extra mattress pad for wet. It's not heavy, but of course not light as foam ones. Also it has ventilation holes, which give freshness to mattress. It's firm. The only thing,I put cotton mattress pad in order to keep sheets ordered because nylon ticking on mattress creates slippery surface. Overall we're really satisfied with this purchase.

The cover I received started unraveling after using it for less than 2 months.I contacted Emmalu design right away and she advised that I had to go through amazon.Since It had been 5 months since my shower, Amazon said to go to the company directly.A product made to be a car seat cover should work for longer than 2 months.I again contacted Emmalu designs and she has failed to return my phone calls.I am disappointed as I have an expensive cover that is falling apart.I would also note that the fit is a bit too snug and pulls.It is on a Graco snugride (the basic model not rated for bigger babies).I do not recommend this product though the fabric is so darn cute! I am still hoping that the owner of emmalu designs will replace my cover...

(More customer reviews)I love this product.I bought a pink microfleece one before my 4th child was born 6 weeks ago and after getting out of the hospital, sent my mom to the local Babies R Us to pick up several more in different colors for me (I ended up buying 5 total).I bought 5 because I hate doing laundry so I wanted enough to last more than a week, that's the only reason, not because I had any problems with the product's performance.

As for the person who called this a cheap knock-off, I think maybe they weren't using the product correctly.My baby was 7 1/4 lbs, 19 inches and the blankets have worked fine with her, no problems whatsoever even though she is quite a squirmer.

It takes a little bit of practice to swaddle, even with this product, though this product makes it much easier.I think this must have been the other reviewer's problem.Maybe the Miracle Blanket makes swaddling totally foolproof, I don't know, I've not tried one.If you are willing to put forth a very small amount of effort and practice, the Kiddopotamus blankets will work just fine.My baby loves them and so do I.

It's just the right size for little hands. The clothes come off, so if they get soiled, you're not stuck washing the whole doll. It would be great if there were other clothes you could buy for it. That would be great practice for little ones as they get older. This doll will always be special, and what I love is that it'll be around for years to come.

(More customer reviews)These are like a very thick percale type fabric, not a knit, not stretchy. They are not silky like a high quality eqyptian sheet, but still very nice, good feel to them. We own a very big Naturepedic 255 mattress, with a mattress pad on top, also Naturepedic, which barely fit in our crib, and this sheet fit. I own it in ginger and I have to say it is a pretty strong color. I like it, but definitely be aware you are buying a strong color.
