Prince Lionheart Fireplace Guard Safety Item Review

(More customer reviews)A new baby reaching toddler size presents a lot of difficulties around the house. What will he get into? How will he injure himself? What do we need to do to protect him? Hmmmmmm. It's a tough question and no matter what you do, he'll probably find something you didn't think of. Our toddler has already found a tube of diaper rash creme and spread it all over himself (primarily the face) and over the wood floor and a carpet.

Well, we've tried to do some common sense things. For example, our living room has a large fireplace with a raised brick hearth. The edge, and particularly the corners, are sharp and harsh and could cause a good wound if the baby were to fall against them. So we bought this Prince Lionheart Cushiony Fireplace Guard. I installed it in about an hour. It's a one-size-fits-all solution and I was afraid our fireplace was too big. No problem. It took a bit of cutting, but we ended up with about 6 inches of edge left over.

We don't like the looks of it, but the baby's safety is of greater importance. The guard is stuck on with some tape from 3M and there are warnings in 10 different languages that they do not guarantee that the glue will do no damage. Hmmmmm. I expect there will be damage when the guard is removed. It's an imperfect solution, but better than nothing.

(More customer reviews)This is a great mattress.Firm, yet comfortable.It is rather heavy (compared to a foam mattress).It is not waterproof in any way, but that has not caused us any problems so far (we have used it for almost 2 years now).We use a washable waterproof cover over the mattress.Would definitely buy it again, if needed.It appears to be made entirely of natural coir fiber, covered with a cotton batting (I don't think there are any chemical fire retardants added, which some say may contribute to SIDS).

Kolcraft Contours Classique 3-in-1 Bassinet Review

(More customer reviews)The Kolcraft Contours Classique 3-in-1 Bassinet is the best bassinet I've found and at a great price! It's sturdier and better-looking than most moses baskets and has an overall more elegant/sophisticated feel. The bassinet itself is a little heavy since I'm 5 foot tall, but is very portable and keeps my 2 month old daughter comfortable and secure. As an added bonus, the stand turns into a changing table (which I can't say I use, but is nice to have.) The baskets and the diaper holder are a nice touch, although I have to agree with other reviewers that the diaper holder could have been made to fit more securely. (It fits onto the stand with velcro which means it can't hold much, but then again, newborn to 4 month old diapers don't weigh much anyway :) Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to prospective buyers!

(More customer reviews)My husband and I purchased the Chicco travel system for our first child as a newborn.So far I have no complaints.We compared this system to several Graco models, but found that this was worth the extra money.The stroller itself has far more control when driving it.Very sturdy..and doesn't wobble like the Gracos. I found that it is especially nice if you are taller and therefore especially nice for the Dads.All of the other systems we looked at, my husband and I would both have to slump to push it, because the handle is so low.The material is durable and weather resistant.And the base of the car seat is adjustable to conform to your back seat and there is a built in level on the base to insure the base in positioned and secured evenly and acurately.Only small complaint is that when the car seat is in place in the stroller, it limits the amount of storage underneath the stroller making hard to put something large, like a diaper bag underneath.But I just place it over the handles and no problem.

It comes packed well to protect the little animals at the bottom and the shade is also well protected.I don't care for the white cord which really stands out when you go with a neutral cream & sage colored nursery to match the theme.It will accept up to a 60 watt bulb (I'd prefer 75). But all in all, it's a must have for a complete Zanzibar nursery :)

They may not be the softest on the market but they work very well. For the price, you can afford to buy several so that you don't have to do laundry as often. The only thing I didn't like about these pads is they seem to shrink a bit when put into the dryer. My advice is to line dry them to avoid this problem.

(More customer reviews)I didn't have a problem fitting this on my Pack n' Play like the previous reviewers said.It is a tight fit, but it should be for safety. If you wash it and shrink it, I expect it will no longer fit, so just be sure to wash in cold water and hang dry. I bought the quilted over the plain because I like to have as much as possible between my baby and the unabsorbent vinyl of the Pack n Play. The quilting adds just a little more cushion for extended comfort, absorbs baby's drool so baby stays drier, and provides a better barrier from the vinyl, which if too close will make baby hot and sweaty.

(More customer reviews)Being a stroller junkie, this was to be my last stroller purchase.After our Plinko lite tore in the seat and wouldn't fold completely anymore from years of use and impatient airline staff handling, I was on the hunt for one last stroller to fit our needs.Our 33 pound 4 year old still tires after all day walking events like Disneyland or Legoland and Daddy can only carry her on his shoulder for so long.We had rented the strollers at Disneyland and liked them...Baby Jogger.. so I thought I'd check them out.I couldn't justify spending a lot on a stroller for a preschooler who will use it probably only another year or so, so went with the micro.We've taken it to Disneyland (via plane) so far, and it has saved the day with the nieces and nephews at other times.We stayed at a hotel across from Disney and our 4 year old stayed comfy and happy as we trekked for 5 days.We even could push our 7 year old (50 lbs) when he pooped out once on the walk back to the hotel.The steering is great, fold is ingenious, and is very portable.Yes, the storage net is small and the shade isn't huge.After owning Graco, Britax, Plinko, and others umbrellas, this stroller gets high marks in steering and folding.It's not the lightest, but because it folds so slim, it makes toting it around a breeze.

The only reason I give it four stars is because it is impossible to find the matching upholstered rocking chair and pillow. If one doesn't mind not having that(and most people don't think to even get the chairs) it will be a 5 star rating for you. The quilt is very thick and warm(perfect for throwing over car seats during winter, or decorating the crib during the daytime). As I said, BEAUTIFUL set!
